This workshop will provide attendees basic strategies for working safely on the road, as well as best practices for handling temporary traffic control and flagging. The topics to be discussed include:
-Working safely on the road
-Recognizing hazards and taking measures to prevent incidents
-The importance of proper personal protective equipment and visibility
-The basics of temporary traffic control
-Best practices for flagging traffic
-Hand On Demo and Site Set Up
Who Should Attend:
This class has been developed to provide safety training to managers and workers alike.
City engineers, county engineers, highway supervisors, and street commissioners will learn what is required to support and manage crews that perform roadside temporary traffic control. Crew leaders, equipment operators, laborers, and flaggers will learn how to reduce the dangers found on the worksite for both workers and drivers and begin to think about safety every day on every job.
