Peru Utilities is seeking qualified applicants for a full time Distribution and Collection System Operator. The applicant should have the ability to provide specialized support to the Division of Water Management Department regarding maintenance duties including: installing water lines, water taps, meter pit set-ups, installing and replacing fire hydrants, servicing meter pits, maintaining pumps, lift stations, and working on other equipment as needed. High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience performing work of similar nature in a regulatory setting preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Class A- Indiana Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake, tanker, and manual transmission endorsement, or the ability to acquire one within 120 days of employment, as well as training and certification in procedures for confined spaces, excavating and trenching.
