In this growing career field, Filter Operators can find new challenges day-to-day, job security and personal satisfaction in protecting human health and the environment. The selected individual will work with a wide variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to, analyzing water in treatment plant to control chemical processes, which make the water suitable for drinking. Operating pumping equipment to transfer raw water to treatment plant or distribute processed water to residential, commercial, and industrial establishments. Controlling treatment plant machines and equipment to purify and clarify water for human consumption and/or industrial use. High School diploma or equivalent required. Related experience and/or training preferred. Valid Indiana Driver’s License is required. Required to pass and maintain a WT5 license within 30 months of hire date. Shift work schedule with varying days off. Work schedule will include some nights, weekends, and holidays.
